The Port Huron Museums recently held their Marvelous Museums Fundraiser at the St. Clair Inn, and I had a blast providing photo coverage! It's a major fundraiser for them, and a wonderful time supporting the arts and culture in our Blue Water community.

For those who don't know, one of the amazing - and unique - things about the Port Huron Museums is that it currently has five sites in the Blue Water area - The Carnegie, the Lightship, the Edison Depot, the Light Station, and the Post Hospital. There are many fantastic educational, historical, and artistic events and workshops happening at these various locations, and fundraising from generous donors plays a huge role in keeping the museum going.

The event included a delicious brunch, educational program, and raffle. It takes a ton of planning and preparation for the museum staff to put this together, so I wanted to make sure and properly do it justice with great photos.

Having worked multiple events at the lovely St. Clair Inn before, I was already familiar with the space, which eliminated the need to scout it out beforehand, as I usually do with event photography. Our surroundings provided such an elegant, historic atmosphere!

One of my favorite aspects of working an event like this is connecting with the wonderful people there. During the event, I ran into so many familiar faces and friends, and we were all there for a great cause. Great times!
