I wanted to take a moment to chat about something that’s super important when it comes to getting your portraits done—your personal preferences. I can’t stress enough how crucial it is for you to speak up and let me know what you like and don’t like during our photo sessions.
When we schedule a session, I’m all about making sure you feel comfortable and confident.
During Your Photo Session: Let Me Know
During our session, I’ll be asking about your preferences—like which side you think is your “good side” (we all have one, right?). I genuinely believe everyone is beautiful in their own way, but I totally get that we all have our quirks and preferences. I want to capture you in the best light possible, so don’t hesitate to share what you’re thinking!
One of the things I do during our shoot is show you the raw images on my camera. This way, you can see how things are looking in real-time, and we can adjust as we go along. It’s all about collaboration!
After Your Photo Session: Retouching and Tweaks
Now, let’s talk about retouching. I offer standard retouching services, which include light skin smoothing, stray hair removal, and a bit of teeth whitening. My goal is for you to look like yourself on your best day. I want people to see your headshot and think, “Wow, that looks just like them!”
But if there’s something specific you want tweaked—like smoothing out the texture of your neck or straightening your teeth—just let me know! I once had a client who was really nervous about smiling because they were self-conscious about their teeth. Once I mentioned that I could help with that in post-editing, they relaxed and we captured a stunning smile. It was a game-changer!
After our shoot, I’ll send you a link to your online gallery where you can download all your high-resolution photos. But here’s the thing: if you want any adjustments or changes, just let me know! I’m here to make sure you’re happy with the final results.
Even after I deliver your final portraits, the lines of communication are still open. If you see something you’d like adjusted—maybe a little smoother skin or fixing those pesky hair roots—don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m more than happy to help!
So, whether it’s me or another photographer you’re working with, remember that it’s a two-way street. Your input is invaluable, and I want to create portraits that you absolutely love. It’s all about partnership, and I’m here for it!
If you’re in the Port Huron and Blue Water area in St. Clair County, feel free to reach out. We can chat about what you’re looking for even before you sign the contract. Let’s make some magic happen together!
